Check out the Live Action, Cersaie 2025!

Experience Cersaie! | The Daily

Over the years, the most famous tile brands in the world have presented their products at Cersaie in Bologna, Italy - the Worlds largest Tile Fair. Essentially, for key tile suppliers, Cersaie is an essential international showcase for European product and our Tile Warehouse buying team never miss it committing to attendance for over 25 years!

At Tile Warehouse, staying ahead of global design is at the heart of what we do. By sourcing directly from the world’s best manufacturers, we bring New Zealand access to the most cutting-edge, high-quality, and beautiful tile collections.

From timeless classics to bold new statements, our team have explored the latest ranges so we can inspire and supply your next project right here at home. Here’s what to expect for tiles in the year ahead...

1. Backlit Illusion

A fabulous trend and huge highlight is the emergence of tiles with the illusion of backlit lighting. New technologies mean a natural, subtle radiance. The material itself captures and reflects light in such a way that it gives a luminous appearance, even when there is no built-in lighting behind it. Instead surface finish, colour tones, and how they interact with ambient light (daylight or room lighting) creates a glowing effect. The effect is not one of actual illumination from within, but a refined, soft sheen or glow emanating from their surface.

2. French-Patterning Travertine

In soft creams, taupes and greys, French patterning in floors will be another big trend going forward. Think travertine reclaimed from old country floors; beautifully weathered, full of character, yet practical. In smaller format, patterns emerge as a mix of square and rectangular tile sizes allowing a French pattern that brings depth and a timeless, elegant floors that looks like natural stone.

3. Full marble-look Collections

Another emerging trend from Cersaie 2025: Full marble-look collections are making a strong return, featuring timeless stones in black, white, green, and rich red tones. These ranges offer a variety of sizes, from bricks and squares to tozzettos and mosaics, enabling both classic and contemporary pattern combinations.
